
ARAK PETROCHEMICAL CORPORATION is held of Arak Petrochemical Complex,
Ardabil Petrochemical Company and JAM Polypropylene Company. Ardabil
Petrochemical Company: Is under study and supposed to produce fertilizers.
JAM Polypropylene Company: Is under construction and supposed to start
producing Polypropylene at the end of 2007. ARAK PETROCHEMICAL COMPLEX: Has
established as a grass-root complex for producing different petrochemical
products such as plastic, synthetic rubber and other chemicals from naphtha
and natural gas, as feedstock. The saleable annual production capacity
is now 620000 tons obtained from eighteen production plants to serve
domestic market as well as being exported to the world markets. The
production plants of the complex by adopting the advanced and modern
technologies are tailored to the internationally acceptable application
grades and purities both for polymers and chemical products, which are
furnished in this report. The Importance of Complex Products Use of advanced

Petrochemical Corporation. Complex’s products are of a considerable variety
and mostly include various grades. In terms of choosing the product line,

Environment
In design of the complex the highest standards and scales have been
considered, so that almost no harmful stuff drains into the nature. A
distinguished example of the considerations for preventing environmental
pollution is the existence of the well equipped waste water purgation and
scum management unit in the complex. In this unit using the latest
technologies all the waters polluted by chemicals, oils, and sewage are
purged. This unit is able to purge 250000 m³ of water in a month; this water
is added to the cooling system. All the other solid and liquid scum are
burnt. Considering of adequate green areas is another step towards
protecting the environment.
