-Name of Persian Gulf Engraved on the earth

-A Hidden Treasure

The eternal name of “Persian Gulf” would be engraved on the Earth to let those ill-minded who intend to seize the cultural and spiritual heritage of our ancient and extensive land, have it out of their mind; although they would never be able to do so.

“Persian Gulf” is the name every Iranian loves; a name reminding of a history that is older than histories of other countries in this area. This name is the heritage of our ancestors from old days. It is a piece of my country which has never been separated from its land during the history and is enriched by culture, wealth, and historical heritage.

Perhaps, Persian Gulf has never been as important to Iranians as it is today; and perhaps for this reason some countries dared to try to seize its name. But the unity of Iranians told them that such dream would never come true.

Dr. Mohammed Taghi Hashemian is the commissioner of a project undoubtedly every Iranian would be proud of. As the chief of “Oriental History and Civilization Research Center” he is going to build the first Iranian marine city in “Kish” Island along with his cultural activities. This city with an unique and unparalleled design that is the brainchild of the investor and commissioner, would be build on the basis of Iran’s ancient history and culture and will combine some of historical and cultural glories of Iran in a piece of the Earth on heart of which the eternal name of “Persian Gulf” is engraved.

“Persian Gulf Marine City” more than half of which is to be built on the blue waters of Persian Gulf, is the most extensive civil project in the country, and no doubts, would be one of the most beautiful and glorious manmade structures.

“Iran Exports Magazine” introducing “Persian Gulf Marine City Project” is going through details of this project in summary.

Technical Location

Persian Gulf Marine City Project will be build in Kish Island with area of 405 hectares of which 256 hectares would be on land and 140 hectares would be on Persian Gulf waters.

The location of Persian Gulf Marine City is on the lowest waters of Persian Gulf coasts, therefore the infrastructural phases of this project compared to similar projects in other countries, are more cost and time effective. The furthest reclaimed part of the project is 800 meters away from the coastline with maximum depth of 3 meters.

Persian Gulf Marine City Project includes 5 phases; phase 1 inclusive of locating the project, feasibility studies, and main plan is already finished. The remaining phases are estimated to finish within the next 7 years.

Due to the complication of the design of the project, in the study level all the details have been surveyed by best international consultants and contractors.

In terms of energy, Persian Gulf Marine City Project will employ the cleanest sources of energy, and the project would be self-sufficient in this regard. For instance, a major part of energy required in the project would be supplied by solar energy. The power plant of Persian Gulf Marine City not only provides energy for the project, but also feeds Kish Free Zone.

One of the positive points about Persian Gulf Marine City in field of energy is the use of new energies. A part of electricity required in the project is provided and supplied by Iranian researchers and inventors in a high-tech plant subsidiary of the mother company.

Project Technical Specifications

The initial idea and main design of this project that form the identity of the comprehensive plan, is to create name of “Persian Gulf” artificially on the water. This plan is designed on scale of 1:145 compared to Persian Gulf. The design includes some parts on coasts of Kish Island as well as some reclaimed parts.

Based on studies and researches on similar projects, like “Palm Project” in Dubai in which the inefficiency of some of engineers resulted in corruption of water and pollution of environment and consequently hurdled progress of the projects, the managers of Persian Gulf Marine City Project cooperating a German company are examining the strength of ground under the waters of Persian Gulf as well as depth of water in every part of the project and every construction panel.

This project would progress phase to phase and the whole 5 phases would finish within the next 7-8 years.

The Persian Gulf Marine City Project is located on the lowest waters of Persian Gulf and, a reclaimed island using a wave-breaker is to complete the project.

The length of the project from the coastline to tips of the reclaimed part is 800 meters with the maximum depth of 3 meters. The area of the project if 405 hectares including 265 hectares on the coastlines of Kish Island and 140 hectares on the neighboring reclaimed island.

The energy and power unit of the project would provide specific equipment in Kish Island, including a solar power plant added to Kish Free Zone power plant, a water plant using biological waste waters for irrigation of greeneries, and an extensive volume of methane used as the gas reserve.

Tourism Potentials

The project can serve 2 million tourists in a year. 18 golf courts including hotels and required equipments for those interested in this sport are foreseen in this project. International tennis courts, soccer fields, covered fitness rooms, multi floor swimming pools, walking trails, bicycle runs all around the cities, carting runs, and rally training trails form a small part of sports activities in this project.

The tallest building in this city with 38 floors and height of 175 meters is an administrative building.

The project including a museum named “Oriental Civilization History”, cultural and research centers, and art markets makes not only the Marine City but also Kish Island a place for cultural exchange between the Persian Gulf neighbor countries.

International university with famous European and American professors besides kindergarten and multi-level schools form another part of Persian Gulf Marine City. International hospital and fire bridge station are other notable parts of the project.

Project Architecture

This project is a combination of Iranian traditional and modern architecture, in which Iranian traditional tile works show off besides the Iranian modern architecture; no western tradition or style has been employed in the project. The materials used in the projected are preferably picked from the local products and imported materials are picked only when the local ones are not available.

The constructions including tourism and recreation facilities, administrative buildings, and commercial, sports and cultural spaces cover an area of one-million square meters.

The location of all the buildings provide them the most proper and extensive view to the sea and coastlines of Persian Gulf; meanwhile they present diverse views. All the elements of reclaimed island are bridged to the main coastline of Kish Island. The south part of the project, which is a reclaimed island too, is also connected to the main coast.

In the south part of the project that symbolically pictures southern coasts of Persian Gulf, elements of Islamic countries of Persian Gulf Area have been placed. These are not only symbols and can have various functions.

Multi floor apartments, penthouses, villas, and island villas in Persian Gulf Star Project, despite of being modern, intelligent, and technologic, are rooted in rich and powerful architecture of different areas of Iran, specially southern Iran that is naturally coherent with the climate of Kish Island. This architecture has an international aspect as well and is to some extent similar to that of the Mediterranean Coasts. In addition to the great potential of attracting international tourists, this factor stresses on the great values of Iranian Islamic architecture. One, two, three, and four bedroom apartments with extensive view to the coastline and beautiful horizon of Persian Gulf could serve as a safe and secure chance of investment for Iranian and foreign investors.

Each apartment has a private covered parking built with the best quality of materials. Each residential tower in Persian Gulf Star Project has some luxurious penthouses. Four and five bedroom penthouses with spacious sitting rooms and private and public spaces have their own type of architecture. The penthouses also enjoy a great interior design that besides the outlook to the blue waters of Persian Gulf create an artful and pleasant atmosphere in the interior spaces. Another interesting factor about the view of apartments and penthouses is the view of the reclaimed island and graphic appearance of the name of “Persian Gulf” that inspired by free marine forms, is an attractive work of art on its own. It is a work of art in large scale whose use of natural elements is worthy of consideration.

Luxury residential villas are located opposite the reclaimed towers on the coast. These duplex or two floor villas presented in four types of two, three, four, and five bedrooms with a different type of architecture, are built on the sand coast. Villas have spacious rooms with adequate light and vast balconies.

This complex is a national project based on the totally personal idea of Dr. Hashemian presented to eternalize the name of “Persian Gulf”. It can be the most extensive and most attractive tourism project of Kish Island in Southern Iran for years, in eyes of Iranians and foreigners, because all the details and elements have been considered in the project.

Why for Foreigners?

In this place we have Iranian structures like Siose Pol, Khaju Bridge and many other famous Iranian monuments. For Iranian Siose Pol or Khaju Bridge may not be that attractive, but for a foreign visitor it could be a dream to travel to one city in a country and see the monuments of other cities in that country at once. A beautiful mosque, like the one in Malaysia, is going to be built on the reclaimed island that could be specifically attractive for foreign visitors.

10-15% of the hotel rooms considered in this project is to be occupied by the foreign tourists. All what a foreign tourist may need would be provided in this place. Once a tourist arrives to any Iranian city, the information about this marine city would be presented to him, and he can fly any Iranian airport to this city.

Interesting elements from every corner of Iran have been replicated in this project.

Commercial towers follow the latest commercial standards and many of international brands that have branches in Tehran have already applied to buy units of these towers. In villas section, this project is not less than similar projects in Malaysia.

In addition to the villas that are available as property and timesharing, the project include 3500 hotel rooms in form of 10 four star, five star, and six star hotels. Within the next month the Persian Gulf Marine City Project will start and if everything goes according to the plans within the next 6-7 years we will have the opening of the project.
