Ahmadinejad proposes OIC common market
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has put forward a proposal calling for the establishment of a common market among Organization of the Islamic Conference member states.
“The
establishment of a common market is an achievable goal. Holding permanent joint
trade exhibitions and (setting up) a system of preferential tariffs (and) the
acceleration and facilitation of visa issuance for people conducting economic
activities… can be a good beginning,” he said in Istanbul at the 25th Session of
the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) of the
OIC.

The use of local currencies in their trade exchanges with one another was
another advice to OIC countries.

Iran-Turkey Business Forum
Iran-Turkey Business Forum was held in Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines with the attendance of Excellency “Recep Tayyib Erdogan” Turkey's Prime Minister and a group of Turkish ministers.

According to the report of ICCIM Public Relations, Head of ICCIM, Mr. Mohammad Nahavandian emphasized on considering regional cooperation in the current condition of the global economic crisis
and said one of the important results of the global crisis was paying attention to convergence and strengthening regional cooperation.


Iran and Turkey intend to increase the volume of trade exchanges from $10 billion to $30 billion, Nahavandian pointed out, adding that to achieve this goal the necessities should be taken into account seriously.

Government Helps the Private Sector with the Purpose of Foreign Business Expansion
In order to inform national private sector, defining economical information of target markets is very effective in expansion of Iran’s foreign business.
Director General of Europe and America bureau in Trade Promotion Organization of Iran pointing that, 180 countries are introduced as Iran’s export target, said: according to our plan, the most priority of Iran’s embassies is to remove private companies’ difficulties and based on this all of the activities of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, including choosing target countries and economical development with them, are coordinated with Iran’s embassies in those countries.
Abdol Hamid Asadian, considering Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization’s expectations of economical experts said: addressing economical information in connection of trade laws and regulations, custom duties, tenders, volume of exchanges between two countries, announcement of discriminated contracts and etc. are very efficient for traders.
According to public affairs of Trade Promotion Organization, he added: informing technological transitions, encouraging responsible persons of target countries to visit economical sectors of Iran, introducing products selling sources of target countries with due attention to prices and quality, presenting the analysis regarding the establishment of Iran’s economical centers and also follow documents’ substance which are exchanged between Iran and its business part, are the other expectations of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
Director General specifying that: market study of one or two main and strategic products is much more important than study of all of a country’s products; as well introducing buyers and sellers of each target countries is very efficient for promoting two parts’ relations.
It should be mentioned that recently more than seventy economical experts after passing a short-duration course were dispatched to the target countries in order to help Iranian merchants.
During his speech in this course for economical experts, Asadian emphasized that: private sectors that are active in target countries should be encouraged to have legal lawyers for their contracts and this organization will have a plan to allocate some credits for this matter.
