An Overview of Renewable Power Purchase Agreements

Power purchase agreements are considered as key contract in financing of the independently owned power plants. A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a binding contract between an electricity generator and a power purchaser.
A properly designed and standardized PPA must provide a fair, neutral, and financeable contractual arrangement between the power seller and purchaser. Without it, resources are expended unnecessarily, inefficiently and unpredictably.
